Newport County have "concluded that no act of racism occurred" after holding an investigation into an alleged incident during last Saturday's 2-0 loss against Colchester United.
The investigation looked into an incident involving an opposition player, which occurred during the first half of the League Two fixture at Rodney Parade.
In a statement, Newport said the player involved had agreed that "no further action will be pursued" and reiterated the club's stance of zero tolerance towards all forms of discrimination.
"Newport County can confirm that, following a thorough and collaborative investigation into an alleged racist incident during Saturday's Sky Bet League Two fixture against Colchester United, it has been concluded that no act of racism occurred," the club statement read.
"The club worked closely with Gwent Police and stadium officials, carefully reviewing CCTV footage and gathering all available evidence. Based on these findings, we are satisfied that no racist behaviour took place during the match.
"While we welcome this outcome, Newport County remains steadfast in our commitment to fighting all forms of discrimination. We condemn racism, prejudice, and discriminatory conduct in the strongest possible terms.
"Rodney Parade is a place for everyone. The club enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy and continues to take proactive steps to ensure our stadium is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all supporters, players and staff.
"We would like to express our sincere thanks to Gwent Police, stadium personnel, and Colchester United for their professionalism and cooperation throughout the investigation.
"The player who initially raised the concern has also confirmed that no further action will be pursued.
"Newport County approaches all such matters with the utmost seriousness, integrity, and diligence, and will continue to do so moving forward."
