BBC Trust

The remit of BBC Online and Red Button is to promote the BBC’s public purposes, by providing innovative and distinctive online content and distinctive propositions and by supporting the BBC’s broadcast output.

The service should offer UK users greater choice and control over how they consume BBC content by providing live and a range of recent broadcast output on-demand.

Current service licence

The Trust reissued this service licence in June 2016.
