Catholic children remember Pope Francis

Today is the funeral of Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, who died aged 88 on Monday.

Hundreds of thousands of people, including world leaders and monarchs, have gathered outside St. Peter's basilica at the Vatican to pay tribute.

Catholic children have been remembering the late Pope at school this week with special assemblies and lessons about his life and his impact on the world.

Jenny went to a school in Manchester to find out how they've been reflecting on the life of Pope Francis.
